Mary’s Cost of Living Advice Roadshow is coming to Meadowfield on Friday 25th March.
It is a chance to seek advice on benefits, energy bills, employment, housing, debt management, immigration, carers’ rights and more, with specialists on hand to ensure that the people of the City of Durham get the advice they need heading into difficult months with the rising cost of living.
This is the first in a series of events, hosted by Mary, to get the help that is needed to people in the City of Durham. Mary is committed to ensuring that people live in dignity and security and will always stand up and support the people of Durham.
Reacting to the Launch of the ‘Cost of Living Advice Roadshow’, Ms Foy said:
“I am under no illusion as to the scale of financial stress that many of my constituents are currently facing. Electricity and gas bills are now astronomical, all the while petrol is at record prices and the food shop is costing more at the till each week.”
“I wanted to ensure that I could do everything in my power to enable people in Durham to have access to the best advice and information available. The pandemic has meant that it has been very difficult to meet residents in person, but the Cost of Living Advice Roadshow will be an excellent opportunity to bring experts on benefits, energy bills, housing and many other topics to the heart of our communities and allow residents to raise their concerns with me one to one.”
