At the end of May, Mary wrote to the Prime Minister to raise her concerns about the trip that his chief adviser, Dominic Cummings took to Durham during the lockdown period.
As you will recall, despite an instruction from the Government to stay at home, especially if you were displaying symptoms of coronavirus, Mr Cummings chose to bring his family from London all the way to Durham. While in the city, he also visited Barnard Castle. you can read Mary’s letter to the Prime Minister here.
Mary has since received a response from No.10 Downing Street to her approach. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the Prime Minister decided that he did not need to respond to Mary in person, and so member of No.10 staff has replied in his place. You can read the letter Mary received below.
